
Kinomori Yama (CFGM Final Project)
Kinomori Yama is a life and management simulation RPG. Inspired by farm games like Stardew Valley, it brings a different scenario. It is located in a fictional forest in Japan, which is populated by some strange creatures, that the player will get to know as they start a new life of cultivating, foraging, and producing their own resources.
The video game aims to make you feel free and comforted by the warmth of its environment while you are in its little universe. In addition, it maintains a philosophy of respect for nature and the beings that inhabit it.

Kinomori Yama
It is a small forest town inhabited by the Satobi, very unusual creatures. It is located somewhere in Kyushu, Japan.
The Satobi
Most of them are humanoid mushrooms, somewhat short. Others are insects with similar characteristics. All of them are capable of communicating, walking, and even working like any human. The only noticeable difference is that they speak at frequencies above our hearing range. Although, they have a solution for very special cases: Sunrise berries.
Game Systems
COOKING
The player will be able to cook in his cabin. The recipe system will have the same base as the store. The more elaborate the recipes, the more energy the dish will provide when consumed.

PLANT AND HARVEST
The player will be able to plant seeds that are given to him, found, or bought in the store. They can also harvest fruits and other plants in the forest.

COMMERCIAL SYSTEM
Kinomori Yama doesn't have a currency, so instead of marking prices, they create some kind of trading recipes.

Main Store
Actually, an exchange center. Here the player can take their products to exchange them for those left by other characters. Some products are regular and available during a full season.
Producer Characters
When the player wants a specific object from a producer character, they will be able to consult them about the resources necessary for its creation and what they need in exchange for their work. If you bring the goods that the character asks for, you can order the item. In a few days (depending on the type of item) it will be available for pick-up at the Main Store.

HEALTH AND ENERGY
To the player, only the energy level will be visible, as a bar. The rest of the conditions will appear as warnings. Health and energy are restored by eating or sleeping. Low health will cause a faster loss of energy.
The player will only be able to interact normally while their energy levels are normal.

Energy loss cause: Physical interactions (planting, treating the soil…) and using the Sprint.

Health loss cause: Being too cold or too hot and being dehydrated or hungry.
